Sports and diabetes – in a healthy body a healthy spirit

Aside from the sports class I attended in my twilight years, aside from playing basketball where I did pretty well up to several years of daily cycling, I don’t remember in my house the kind of physical activity I’m doing this year.

The history of my sport

It started in April with walks of a few kilometers around the forest. Two or three times a week I went for a round. I got to the point where I simply began to miss the movement. So from walk to walk the joy of exercise became greater and greater.

Now I am spending my vacation in Lower Silesia. From July 1 to today ( 16.07) I walked almost 70 kilometers in 18 sessions. For me, this is the bomb. I include short walks with the dog and several nine-kilometer walks.

In addition, I bought inline skates and go to the biathlon stadium to train. I used to skate so I can easily manage now – faster and faster, better and better but at full concentration.

Improving diabetic’s health through sports

Thighs, calves regained muscle. Strength and well-being returned. At 185 cm tall, I weigh 71.3 kg. Insulin sensitivity has risen significantly. I continue to work out.
