Diet for diabetics like a signpost

The end of the year is approaching, a time to take stock and get organized. In view of this, I decided to recall information from February. That’s when Rzeczpospolita wrote about a modernized portal set up by the National Health Service, where diabetics can receive free support. The support consists of receiving for free suggestions for balanced menus including a shopping list. The menus are available by entering this address:

diet.nfz.gov.pl/local/diet/login.php

The portal is called “NFZ Academy.” – it sounds quite encouraging. Once you register, you can have access to a 28-day diet plan. There is also an option to try the service and receive a 7-day menu. In the trial version, I was shown a diet for 7 days of 1500 Vege. On the other hand, after registering, a form appears where I entered my weight, height, age and physical activity level as moderate. After approving the form, the value of my BMI appeared, as well as information on what daily amount of kcal I need for optimal body function.

I selected the 1800 DASH diet. In the next step, the system displayed a prompt telling me what diet I had chosen. In this information, there was also a link to ONLINE DIET CONSULTATIONS leading to this address:

At this address hides the clinic, which presents a range of services ( in brief):

  • Free Online Dietary Consultation,
  • Always Free Dietitian Care,
  • Instant Booking Without Queues,
  • Online Dietary Center Invites.

I’ll admit that I was not familiar with this site before. I think I will give it a try. Going back to the NFZ menus page, I chose the 1800 DASH diet. Let me warn you that the diets are dedicated to people over 18 years of age devoid of burden like chronic diseases. However, I think there is something for every diabetic here. So, after clicking “I choose”, a very nice, colorful, tasty menu for 28 days appeared to my eyes.

If you don’t know it I encourage you to try it. Enjoy!
