Good morning,
I warn you in advance that the following article is not a paid sponsored text, but a sharing of positive impressions.
For the Accu Check Spirit Combo pump, I was looking for a new neck case and belt. On the websites of online stores these products were unavailable including the Roche Poland company store.
I started calling around stationary stores in Warsaw. One of the calls turned out to be a hit. The Institute of Diabetology at 129 Raclawicka Street in Warsaw has a branch of the Diabetyk24 store, and that’s where I could buy them.
I went to the place. The kind lady at the information desk directed me to the store and there I bought everything I needed.
I wanted to get to know the Institute. After an exploratory interview, I signed up for a consultation with well-known Diabetology Professor Ewa Pankowska.
I don’t know if it’s as a result of exercise – since, as I mentioned in earlier posts, I train a lot I had pain on the right side of my abdomen – I was offered an ultrasound on the spot.
The ultrasound showed nothing of concern. So the next step was a blood test.
The day of consultation with the Professor came. I have not met such a wonderful specialist for a long time. The consultation lasted almost an hour, which is practically impossible in the public fingers. Ms. Professor learned the results from the Dexcom and the pump. She explained an important thing, that diabetes is not a disease of high sugar but insulin deficiency. Such a nuance. She explained that the regular use of a proper diet will equalize glycemia over time.
I had celiac disease as a child. Emergency room at home twice a week and those things. The professor ordered intestinal tests for the result, for which there is a two-week wait. These will be very important results because on them may depend whether the episodes of ill health will finally pass. All related to a childhood illness that supposedly does not go away. I have already heard about this from another doctor.
From Ms. Professor I received an order for Dexcom, pump accessories and insulin. She suggested that I start the procedure to apply for disability certification, which I did. This comes with a number of benefits.
I will have my next appointment in less than two months.
I am enchanted with the institute. Visiting hours are observed. There is order and tidiness, and the staff is very knowledgeable. I encourage Varsovians to check this place out. Here I leave my contact information for the Institute and wish you much good health.
