Diet in Hyperinsulinemia

Hyperinsulinemia is an excessively high level of insulin. This problem is increasingly being diagnosed and may indicate the early stages of type 2 diabetes. Excessive insulin secretion does not have a positive effect on the body, often leading to uncontrolled weight gain, among other things. Excessive insulin production is associated with insulin resistance, but is not necessarily the result of it. During insulin resistance, cells stop responding properly to insulin secreted by the pancreas. Their low sensitivity to insulin causes the pancreas to secrete insulin in excess. Hyperinsulinemia and insulin resistance are related, but it is often impossible to determine which condition developed first, and which is the result of increasing abnormalities in the functioning of the body. Hyperinsulinemia can co-occur with insulin resistance, as well as occur as a congenital condition in its own right. Excessive insulin secretion can be a symptom of certain cancer conditions, hypertension, the aforementioned overweight. Diet in hyperinsulinemia requires giving up highly processed foods: fast food, sweets, sodas, sweetened juices, sugary snacks, sweetened dairy products, products that cause weight gain, cause cholesterol elevation. Include vegetables and fruits, whole grain products in the daily menu, replace fatty meats and cured meats with fish, seafood, lean meat. The body should be properly hydrated. Eat regularly and give up stimulants. An integral part of the diet is physical activity (especially recommended are aerobic exercises: walking, running, cycling, skating, rollerblading, stepper, swimming, skipping, push-ups, tummies) Unfortunately and excess insulin as well as its deficiency are not advisable, they destroy our body. Let’s take care of our health.
